Onsight supports a variety of tax calculations. One of these is to charge tax on each product line item on an order or quote. Different tax rates can be set up and each product can have a separate tax rate configured for it. In Onsight this is called product taxes. <\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s how to activate the use of product taxes in Onsight:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Log in to the Onsight web console at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sales.onsightapp.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/sales.onsightapp.com\/<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Click on \u2018Settings\u2019 from the left-hand side menu.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the \u2018Configuration&#8217; menu item.<\/li>\n<li>See your present configuration settings in the &#8216;General&#8217; tab under &#8216;Tax Settings&#8217;.<\/li>\n<li>Click the \u2018Edit\u2019 button.<\/li>\n<li>Under &#8216;Tax settings&#8217;, make sure that &#8216;Charge Taxes&#8217; is enabled.<\/li>\n<li>For \u2018Where do you apply your taxes?\u2019, select \u2018Product taxes\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>Click the &#8216;Save&#8217; button.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\nThe alternative to product taxes is customer taxes.<br \/>\n<br \/>\n<b>Related articles:<\/b><br \/>\n<a href=\"\/user-guide\/how-do-i-set-up-customer-taxes\/\">How do I set up customer taxes?<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tax calculations differ from location to location.
