{"id":4386,"date":"2025-08-29T20:27:37","date_gmt":"2025-08-29T20:27:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.onsightapp.com\/user-guide\/?p=4386"},"modified":"2025-11-20T09:10:17","modified_gmt":"2025-11-20T09:10:17","slug":"how-do-i-add-volume-pricing-to-my-products","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.onsightapp.com\/user-guide\/how-do-i-add-volume-pricing-to-my-products\/","title":{"rendered":"How do I add volume pricing to my products?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Volume pricing (sometimes called quantity-based pricing) is a pricing strategy where the unit price decreases as your customer buys more of your product.<\/p>\n<p>You can use volume pricing to encourage larger purchases and reward bulk buyers.<\/p>\n<p>For example:<\/p>\n<p>1 \u2013 9 units: $10 per unit<br \/>\n10 \u2013 49 units: $9 per unit<br \/>\n50+ units: $8 per unit<\/p>\n<h2>How to set up volume pricing<\/h2>\n<p>Follow this process to set up volume pricing:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Log in to the Onsight web console at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sales.onsightapp.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/sales.onsightapp.com\/<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Click on \u2018Manage your data\u2019 from the left-hand side menu.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the &#8216;Products&#8217; menu item.<\/li>\n<li>You will see a list of all of your existing products. <\/li>\n<li>Click on the product that you want to add volume pricing for.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the \u2018Volume Pricing\u2019 tab.<\/li>\n<li>Click the &#8216;Edit&#8217; button.<\/li>\n<li>Click \u2018Add a new volume tier\u2019 at the top right to add a new volume tier.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the lower boundary for the new volume tier in the \u2018Min Qty\u2019 field.<\/li>\n<li>In the \u2018Normal Selling Price\u2019 field, enter the price that applies when that quantity is reached.<\/li>\n<li>If you use the customer group pricing feature, you can add special prices for each group.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Important<\/h2>\n<p>When product prices change, you will need to manually update the volume pricing tiers (both normal and group prices) as they do not update automatically when you change the base price or group pricing.<\/p>\n<p>If your Onsight account is connected to an external system like QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho, MYOB, NetSuite, SAPB1 or others, then any volume pricing rules in the external system are not automatically copied to Onsight. <\/p>\n<h2>How to access the volume pricing feature<\/h2>\n<p>Contact us at <a href=\"mailto:support@onsightapp.com\">support@onsightapp.com<\/a> if you want to activate this feature on your account.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<b>Related articles:<\/b><br \/>\n<a href=\"\/user-guide\/how-do-i-bulk-upload-my-volume-pricing\/\">How do I bulk upload my volume pricing?<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Volume pricing (sometimes called quantity-based pricing) is a pricing strategy where the unit price decreases as your customer buys more of your product.
