How do I view reports on sales by product category?

You can view reports on the sales performance over time for a specific product category.

  • Log in to the Onsight web console at https://sales.onsightapp.com/.
  • Click on ‘Reports’ from the left-hand side menu.
  • Click on ‘Sales’ and then ‘Categories’ from the left-hand side menu.
  • All of your product categories will be listed in your product category hierarchy.
  • Find the category that you are interested in.
  • You can click on the chart icon to see a sales chart for that category.
  • Click on the drop-down at the top of the screen to choose the time period for the sales chart. The options are: “All time”, “Last year”, “Past 12 months”, “This year”, “Last month”, “Past 30 days”, “This month”, “Last week”, “This week”, “Yesterday”, “Today”.
  • You will be presented with the sales performance over time for that particular category.
  • You can also drill down further by selecting a specific sales rep or a specific customer from the drop-downs at the top of the screen.
  • You can click on the browser back button to go back to the original list of categories.
  • You can click on the shopping basket icon to see all the products sold in that category.
  • Click on the ‘Download XLS’ icon at the top of the table to download the data to an Excel file.
  • Click on the ‘Download CSV’ icon at the top of the table to download the data to a CSV file.
