The Active or Inactive status of a product is controlled from MYOB. This setting determines if a product should appear in your product catalogue in Onsight or not. Active products are visible in the catalogue and available for sale. Inactive products are not visible in the catalogue. If you want a product to remain active in MYOB but not appear in your Onsight catalogue, and therefore not be available for sale, follow this process:
- Log in to the Onsight admin console at https://web.onsightapp.com/.
- Click on ‘Catalogue’ in the left-hand side menu.
- Click on the ‘Manage Products’ menu item.
- Click on the ‘Action’ button in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
- Click on ‘Manage Product Categories’ in the dropdown menu.
- Click on the name of the product category that you want to make active.
- Click on ‘Add Product Category’.
- Type in a name such as ‘Hidden products’ or something similar.
- Change the status field from ‘Active’ to ‘Inactive’.
- Click the ‘Save’ button at the bottom of the page.
- Click on ‘Catalogue’ in the left-hand side menu.
- Click on the ‘Manage Products’ menu item.
- Find the product that you want to hide and click on it.
- Change the ‘Primary Category’ field to the new inactive product category.
- Click the ‘Save’ button at the bottom of the page.
Now that specific product will be inside a product category that is not visible and therefore the product will also not be visible in the Onsight catalogue.
