To change your configuration settings:
- Log in to the Onsight web console at https://sales.onsightapp.com/.
- Click on ‘Settings’ from the left-hand side menu.
- Click on the ‘Configuration’ menu item.
- See your present configuration settings in the General tab.
- Click the ‘Edit’ button.
- Edit the configuration setting that you want to change.
- Click the ‘Save’ button.
There are a range of configuration settings that you can change:
Tax settings:
- Charge taxes
– Enable this if you charge taxes on your sales. - Where do you apply your taxes
– Choose ‘Product taxes’ if you want taxes calculated for each product line item and aggregated or ‘Customer taxes’ if you prefer taxes to be calculated on the order/quote total cost. - Make new products taxable
– Enable this if you want any new products to automatically get marked as taxable. You will have to allocate one or more taxes to your product. - Make new customers taxable
– Enable this if you want any new customers to automatically get marked as taxable. You will have to allocate one or more taxes to your customer.
Price settings:
- Show prices including taxes
– Enable this if you want your product prices displayed inclusive of tax. All your applicable tax types will be added to your base product price to calculate the final displayed selling price. If this box is unchecked, only the base product price will be displayed in the product catalogue. - Hide all prices in the mobile app
– Enable this if you want to hide all prices in the mobile app. - Show discounted prices in catalogue
– Enable this if you want to show the selected customer prices including any set discount percentages in the catalogue view in the web console and in the mobile app. - Number of decimal places for calculations
– How many decimal places to use when calculating line item totals and order totals. - Number of decimal places for display
– How many decimal places to use when showing numbers on screen or in documents.
Regional settings
- Time zone
– This determines what dates and times we show for orders and quotes. - Country & currency
– This determines what currency is used when displaying your prices and totals for your orders and quotes. - Currency formatting
– Choose the language formatting to use when showing prices and totals.
Product catalogue settings
- Photo caption
– What text to display when users hover over the product image on the product listing page. - Product sort order
– The sort order for displaying products in the product catalogue. In the app, after the initial install, products will appear as you have chosen. After that, users are able to choose their own product sort order.
Order settings
- Automatically reduce stock when placing an order

– How many months or years of order history to download to the device when installing the app. Contact us at [email protected] if you want to see more orders and quotes on your device.
User permission settings
- Allow sales reps to add and update customers
- Allow customer logins to create quotes
- Allow customer logins to modify orders
Check-in settings
- Max check-in distance
– The maximum distance that your reps are allowed to be when they check in to a customer location.
