How do I connect Onsight to Xero?

Onsight can connect to Xero to get product and price information and to send new orders and quotes directly into Xero. Please email support@onsightapp.com to place a request for us to activate the Xero connector for your Onsight account. You will be sent a link that will allow you to authorise the connection between Onsight and your company in Xero.

The user authorising the connection must have at least Standard User permissions. They cannot be ‘Read-only’ nor ‘Invoice only’.

To check the permissions of the user that will be authorising the connector:

  • Log into Xero
  • Click on your company and click ‘Settings’
  • Click on ‘Users’
  • Click on the user that you intend to use
  • Under ‘Business and accounting’ and ‘Standard’ should be selected. The user authorising the connection must have at least Standard User permissions. They cannot be ‘Read-only’ nor ‘Invoice only’.
  • Under ‘Sales and purchases’, ‘Sales (quoting and invoicing)’ should be selected.

If you have multiple companies in Xero, please choose the appropriate one when authorising the connection.
